The bridge:
Helping young people find their own creative response to Lee Krasner’s Living Colour exhibition through poetry and spoken word.
My role:
Poetry and spoken word workshop facilitator, translating themes from the exhibition into an accessible and participatory creative experience for young people.
What I created:
Interactive poetry, writing and performance sessions that invited participants to respond to Krasner’s work, explore their own ideas and develop the confidence to express them.
Why it mattered:
The project opened up a major visual art exhibition through another creative language, helping young people move from observing the work to interpreting it for themselves and recognising the value of their own perspective.
