ENO Creative Residency

The bridge:
Making opera feel more accessible, open and emotionally relevant to wider audiences.

My role:
English National Opera’s first Creative in Residence for the 2022/2023 season.

What I created:
Poetry, performance and audience-facing creative work that helped people find new routes into opera.

Why it mattered:
The project used language as a bridge between a traditional artform and audiences who may not have seen opera as something for them.

Skills shown:
Creative residency, cultural interpretation, audience engagement, strategic storytelling, accessible communication, stakeholder collaboration, poetry and performance, and content across digital, print and live settings.
