The bridge:
Bringing poetry into public space and using language to help people experience a familiar place differently.
My role:
Spoken word artist contributing to Artists Walk 2021 at Alexandra Palace.
What I created:
Place-based poetry and live performance as part of a wider public art trail bringing together artists, audiences and the landscape of Alexandra Palace.
Why it mattered:
The project created an accessible way for people to encounter art outside traditional cultural spaces, using creativity to reconnect people with place and one another.
